I was soooo thrilled when after I completed The Strand’s website I was informed that musical theatre company that was going to be calling The Strand home wanted be to redo their website as well. They were moving into The Strand and their upcoming season will be their 30th, so there were many things to celebrate. I had a great time working on this site and going to see one of their shows, definitely don’t miss it! I really stretched some coding muscles on this one as I jumped into jQuery a little further and am actually starting to make _some_ sense of it. Scary! Anyway, The Lyric has an awesome season coming up and I’m glad to be a part of helping promote it!

You might remember the old Wild Veggie website that I did a few years ago. Well, Wild Veggie keeps getting more and more popular and now it’s being sold in restaurants as well as Whole Foods in Florida! Since we’re now advertising direct to consumers we needed a website that did the same. We came up with this “Good for Every Body” campaign and ran with it. I think this site is a lot of fun packed in a small, cute package. I really struggled to come up with a new design for the consumer site at first but then once we came up with the new campaign, everything went smoothly! I even started getting into some light jQuery stuff! (Check it out on the recipe display box at the bottom of this page: How Can I Wild Veggie? ) This site is run off of the WordPress platform as well. (This site was done through O’Neill Communications.)

Today I launched a website for my good friend Jenna and my new friend Pam. They are both registered dietitians and focus on sports nutrition for triathletes. This was a pretty fun site to do as the subject matter was a little more energetic and gritty than my usual stuff so I got to have fun. It’s all on a WordPress system with some extra bells and whistles thrown in. I also found a cool newsletter opt-in system G-Lock Double Opt-In List Management. Also, Jenna’s got a new book out: Energy to Burn - buy a copy!

Since some of you live in Missouri or are near to it, I wanted to send this along. From the correspondences I’ve received, according to the state of Missouri, if you are supportive of gun rights, Ron Paul, the anti-Federal Reserve movement, or even the CONSTITUTION then you are probably an enemy combatant and will be treated by the Missouri Justice System as such (under their new Missouri Information Analysis Center http://www.miacx.org/).
UPDATE: Here’s a link to the article where this was reported: http://www.campaignforliberty.com/article.php?view=28 (Thanks “hey dummy”)

I was so excited when the Strand Theatre asked me to redesign their website. Their theatre was getting ready to open and they need to change their website from being a fundraising tool, to an actual website for the fully operating theatre. The renovation of the theatre was terrific and it is beautiful inside. I had been working on their fundraising website for three years and had inherited the design which I didn’t really care too much for. I had been waiting a long time to build this site and had a great time working on it! It was all done in HTML, CSS and PHP with several dynamic sections such as the upcoming calendar of events, the marquee, the photo gallery and the jobs/volunteers section. The client seemed very happy with it when it was all said and done!

I launched this recruitment website for the Marietta Police Department in October. I worked on this one simultaneously with the Gone With the Wind Museum website, which really helped even things out. The biggest challenge was making sure I didn’t accidentally show Scarlett in anti-riot gear on either. I worked on this site with the help of the City of Marietta and the good folks at the Marietta Police Department. Once again, I did the concept and design work and then flushed it all out with HTML, CSS and Flash. After that it was handed over to the City of Marietta to launch and maintain.

This website was launched in August for the Gone With the Wind Museum in Marietta, Georgia. The museum is great and houses a lot of artifacts and memorabilia from the movie as well as the book and the history that surrounds it all. I learned a lot while working on this site and had great help from Connie at the museum. My main function with the site was to create the template and do the initial design for most of the pages and then hand it over to the good folks at the City of Marietta to do the final content and integration with their system. The whole project turned out pretty well, I think. Connie has said they have received many compliments on the new site, so that makes me feel good!

Ok, I’ve ignored my site for more than half a year and it’s time to play some catch up. Hopefully I can showcase some stuff I’ve done recently and get up to speed. I’ve been really busy at the 9 to 5 gig and haven’t had much time for a whole lot of other projects. Anyway, stay tuned and get caught up!

Finally got time to upload this. I worked on the bunny about two weeks ago and just haven’t had time to update the site. I’m really happy with how it turned out.
