This technical illustration of a green energy house was done for the Regulatory Assistance Project (www.raponline.org) as a multipurpose piece that would be used in a variety of communications and presentations. This digital illustration is a cross section of a house which is fully fitted with green energy appliances and systems. The illustration is used to showcase all of the elements that can go into a house to make it as energy-efficient as possible. For example: energy efficient appliances, solar panels, ice cooling systems, electric cars, digital thermostats, etc. The illustration was also created in a manner that allowed us to isolate individual elements, as well as groups of elements, so that presenters could use this illustration to talk in details about each unit and group and how they affect energy usage in a positive manner. You can see the isolated elements in the examples below.
