This is a little watercolor piece I did for The Earl Smith Strand Theatre’s silent art auction to help raise funds. They hold the auction at a big birthday celebration every year, so “happy birthday, Strand!” The idea come to me while I was listening to a Dan Savage podcast where he advised a kid who’s parents had disowned him to just keep going on with his life and send them “love bombs” until they came around. I loved the analogy and had this visual in my head of a little monster being love bombed.
