2024 Highlights, Big Wins, and What’s Next for 2025

As the year winds down, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible projects and collaborations that have defined 2024. This year brought opportunities to create, grow, and help others achieve their goals—and I’m grateful for every moment. Let’s take a look back at some highlights and talk about what’s on the horizon for 2025.

Looking Back: Highlights from 2024

1. Designing for Fine Art: Christopher Shadwell
Collaborating with Christopher Shadwell, a talented fine artist in the genre of new surrealism, was a standout project this year. Christopher wanted a website that could effectively showcase his breathtaking work while offering a space for his writings, a news section, additional artwork, and an online store.

This project was particularly rewarding because it combined my passion for digital design with my love for art. Seeing his surreal pieces come to life on a sleek, functional platform was a testament to the power of collaboration and creative vision. Learn more about my work with Christopher Shadwell here.

2. Helping T3 Vodka Make a Splash
When T3 Vodka, a handcrafted spirit from Tennessee, was ready to hit the market, I had the privilege of designing a one-pager to help introduce their product to distributors and retailers. Working alongside the amazing team at The Spining Group, this project allowed me to explore bold, creative design choices that matched the unique character of the brand.

There’s something energizing about working with a new product—especially when it involves blending creativity with strategic messaging to help a client break into a competitive market. Learn more about this project here.

3. Supporting a Cause: Ascensa Transit Nonprofit Ads
My nonprofit work with Ascensa Transit was another meaningful highlight. Ascensa, a local organization providing addiction recovery services to adults, needed large-format ads to raise awareness across the Atlanta metro area.

Designing ads for buses and MARTA train systems required not just creativity, but a deep understanding of how to capture attention in fast-paced environments. Knowing this work could help connect people in need with vital services made the project especially fulfilling. Click here to learn more about my non-profit work.

2024 was a year of growth, new challenges, and creative breakthroughs. I loved helping clients elevate their work, and every project pushed me to grow as a designer and professional.

Looking Ahead: What’s to Come in 2025

As I plan for 2025, I’m challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone and explore new ways to grow both creatively and professionally. Here’s what I’m focusing on in the year ahead:

Expanding My Skill Set: I want to dive deeper into utilizing AI in an innovative and ethical way. While it will never replace human creativity, it can be a great tool to harness in terms of content generation, inspiration, and relief from mundane tasks.

Collaborating Across Industries: From fine art to nonprofits, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, and I want to build on that by exploring new industries, like tech startups or healthcare. New industries mean new creative challenges—and I’m ready to take them on.

Prioritizing Personal Projects: In 2025, I plan to dedicate time to personal creative projects that allow me to experiment and push boundaries. These projects not only fuel my passion but also inspire new ideas for client work. If you follow Grandma Jackie’s recipes, stay tuned for more mouth-watering recipes!

Deepening Client Relationships: Beyond designing, I want to become a true partner to my clients, offering strategic insights and helping them navigate their branding and design journeys from start to finish.
