As all smart nonprofits do, Families First (familiesfirst.org) reaches out to supporters each December to encourage participation in their year-end giving campaign. This season, their communications team invited me to bring my graphic design expertise to the project so the entire mailing package would look polished, engaging, and inspiring—ultimately motivating donors to give.
Graphic Design for Donor Engagement
The mailed package included four key pieces: a CEO letter, a giving card, a reply envelope, and the outer envelope.
My goal was to use thoughtful graphic design to visually unify the materials while highlighting the impact of Families First’s work. The CEO letter shares powerful stories from the year as well as the organization’s 135-year legacy of serving Georgia families. The giving card outlines donation levels and clearly shows what each contribution can make possible. On the back of the card, I designed an easy-to-complete form along with a QR code for quick online giving.
By approaching this project through the lens of strong, intentional graphic design, we created a cohesive and compelling donor experience—one that captures attention, communicates impact, and encourages generosity during a critical fundraising season.
