I was thrilled when a long time clients, Families First (familiesfirst.org), asked to expand our working relationship and bring me on for more projects. Families First is Georgia’s largest family and children’s services organization, and I’m excited to continue supporting the impactful work they do in a bigger way. One of the first major projects I handled was the Graphic Design Nonprofit Annual Report for their most recent year of impact.
This printed, full-color, 16-page booklet acts as an overview of the incredible programs and services Families First provides throughout the state. It is a key communication tool for the organization — not only serving as their Annual Impact Report, but also functioning as a self-mailer piece that goes out to supporters, funders, partners, and stakeholders all year long. Because Families First works across so many initiatives, this document plays a critical role in telling their story clearly, visually, and strategically.
The Graphic Design Nonprofit Annual Report includes a message from the CEO, a board of directors introduction, two pages of financial and demographic data, and highlights showcasing some of the major impact areas. While it’s impossible to fully capture every single program and effort within one small publication, this booklet does a powerful job spotlighting their mission, results, and the lives changed because of their work.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful design can help nonprofits communicate value, celebrate success, and strengthen relationships with the community they serve.
