The Atlanta Freedom Bands (www.atlantafreedombands.com) are opening their Concert Band season with a festive holiday show celebrating the magic of Atlanta and the holidays along Peachtree Street. This concert features a full lineup of seasonal music inspired by the city’s spirit and culture.
Graphic Design for the Season
This year, the concert band’s three-show season shares a connected visual theme. To unify the series, we developed a consistent graphic design approach that blends illustration, color, and typography across all materials. For the first concert, I created a custom illustration showcasing beloved Atlanta landmarks along Peachtree Street — including the Westin, the Fox Theatre, the Amtrak Station, and St. Mark’s — with a few fun nods to DragonCon woven in.
Once the illustration and layout were complete, we extended the graphic design across a wide range of promotional materials, from posters and postcards to social media graphics and digital ads. This cohesive design system helps build excitement, reinforces the season’s visual identity, and connects each concert under one creative theme.
