This artwork was created for the Atlanta Freedom Bands (www.atlantafreedombands.com) 2021 spring concert. From their description: “‘Voices of Equality’ features music commemorating our work to create a more perfect union. Hosted by Spencer Stephens, this virtual concert program will feature new virtual recordings, special selections from the AFB video vault, and a brand new piece from our student composer Katahj Copley. The works on the program represent a diverse collection of voices highlighting the work for equality from Women’s Suffrage to the Civil and LGBTQ+ Rights Movements while telling stories of a couple of groundbreaking musicians.
