Email Invitation

This body of work was all done for Unilever’s presence at the 2012 Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE) Trade Show. Everything that we created need to maintain the branding that had already been established in Unilever’s “Sustainable Living Plan” so certain design elements needed to be carried throughout and consistencies needed to be maintained. The challenge was to adhere to these design/branding guidelines while creating pieces that were exciting and got our audience interested in attending our events or participating in programs.

Before the trade show, we sent this email invitation to all attendees announcing the two big events that Unilever would be hosting hoping that people would be interested enough to get more information or plan to attend. Both event attendance exceeded expectations.

FNCE-TwitterSupportAt the trade show we had three main elements we needed to promote: 1. Twitter Campaign 2. A Lunch and Learn 3. A Micro Site with detailed information for registered dietitians.

To promote the Twitter (and Facebook) Campaign we created table top displays to be placed on counters in the booth of Unilever’s corporate booth as well as the booths of some of their participating brands. We also created business cards promoting the campaign that were distributed at the various booths as well.

FNCE-Lunch&LearnPromoFor the Lunch and Learn we created similar table top displays and business cards that were also passed around promoting the two times the event took place.

At the cooking demonstration that was planned in addition to the lunch and learn these recipe booklets to given out to attendees. The booklet is below shown expanded but was folded and perforated so that each card could  be detached and stored with traditional size recipe cards. Their were six recipes in total, three pairs of two. Each pair had one recipe that was traditional (with all the fat and calories you’d expect) and then a new recipe that was made healthy with Unilever products and some additional tweaking. They were a big hit!

FNCE-USLPWebsiteThe third campaign we were promoting was driving traffic to a micro site that I designed and built. As we did with the Twitter Campaign and the Lunch and Learn we created the table top displays and business cards. We also promoted the URL for the micro site but also included a QRCode that took you to the site as well (of course it had been optimized for mobile since we were anticipating traffic from QRCodes). We also created unique URL’s that were different for each QRCode so we could easily track our visitors to see what channels were driving more visits. (It was the business cards.)
