Tour the Spanish countryside through it’s amazing wines with this new wine tasting book from Veranda and Vine. “Toasts & Tapas” — written and published by Terrye Schaetzel — takes you on a journey through several regions of Spain and introducing you to the history, the food and, of course, the wine. This books sits nicely in the same visual identity it shares with the other books in the series but also breaks out in ways that are uniquely Spanish. I think it might have been because of an amazing trip we had taken to Spain, and how many great memories this book brought back, but I think this might be one of my favorites. Also, get introduced to Albariño, an amazingly versatile Spanish white wine that became a favorite when I did some work years ago to help build awareness of it in the U.S. It’s truly perfect with everything.
