When Out Front Theatre Company (outfronttheatre.com) announced their season of shows I was thrilled about them all, but could NOT stop laughing over the concept of “Murder on the Polar Express.” So, I nearly lost my mind when they contacted me about doing a custom illustration piece that would look like the classic movie poster from 1974. They wanted the same basic layout, but with the characters from the show and – if possible – the likeness of the actors who are playing each role. I, of course, JUMPED at the chance. This type of project really encompasses all my favorite things – illustration, parody, absurdity, drag queens… What more could you ask for?! Be sure to get tickets to this upcoming show!
